“If you want to catch beasts you don’t see everyday, you have to go places quite out-of-the-way. You have to go places no others can get to. You have to get cold, and you have to get wet, too.”- Unknown
I got this quote in my e-mail yesterday and of course RIGHT away I thought of training and when I catch beasts. Just as the quote says to catch beasts you have visit places out of the way. These beasts you dont see out in your 24 Hour Fitness or local Balleys. You have to visi the places most dotn know of that are dark, smelly and dirty. The reason these places are hard to find is they are kept a secret from the outsiders as only a few are willing to do what it takes to get there and run with the beats.
But when you get there and you run with them, you not only will find the beasts but you will become one yourself. This is why I built the Body Synergy Training Gym. Not only has it been a dream of mind, to build a place that I can call home. I can make and break all the rules I want, slamd weight around, laugh, cry, bleed, sweat, scream, and play some loud ass music. I also built it for all those looking to not only catch beasts but become one themselves.
If you are that person and you are looking to catch a beast, you already have. The beast is in you now unleash it, if there is not a place by you then create your own. No one will stop you but yourself!

Ok I know the title of this was lame to reference the Limp Bizkit Rollin song but hey its all I thought of.
I have really been trying to focus a lot on soft tissue work lately. Reading a lot of stuff from my trigger point therapy workbook, and Eric Cressey sent me over A LOT of stuff to read for my baseball players. I know how important it is but wow I have learned how many problems it can cause. Some are so serious that if overlooked it can cause to end your athletic career!
Reading up on trigger points, how to diagnose and treat them I have learned also that a lot of “problems” that doctors just prescribe a drug for or tell you that your just stuck with it can be fixed by doing some very simple things on a daily basis.
I posted a few of Eric’s videos he did on foam rolling below, take a minute to look these over and start implementing them into your routine a few times a week. If you are very tight I recommend doing these before your dynamic warm up up and also you can do them on your off days as well. The tighter you are the more you will need to be doing it to start and also more frequently.
As promised I am working on putting up more and more videos for you. Also I am working on some kick ass Features coming up
In the mean time here is the newest video for you all to check out. Its a little long as I was rambling a little about training when I was working out. This workout kicked my butt! I was beat at the end of last week just in time for this weeks deload week. Went hard and heavy for about 4 weeks and now a week of deload.
Stay tuned for a video of one of my deload workouts with the guys this week.

Happy Monday! This is a short post as I am strapped for time but wanted to get this out to you today.
“If we fix a goal and work towards it, then we are never just passing time.” - Anna Neagle
I have to remind myself of this always as I sometimes beat myself up thinking I am not doing what I need to be doing. But I have to remind myself of my goal and every step counts, sometimes they seem small and sometimes they are massive.
Adding them up all is what gets you to your goal no matter how big or small. As long as your staying on track like Anna said “we are never just passing time.”
Have a wonderful Monday hope you all had a great weekend.
GO FEDOR!!

Happy Friday!! I swear the weeks are going so fast. I am amped up for this weeks feature post. I have been waiting to post this one as Brian wanted to wait till after his meet he just had. I also wanted to congratulate him on his first meet. I contacted him to write a guest post and let me tell you he over delivered, take a few minutes to read it and let Brian and I know what you think in the comment section below.
How far are you willing to go to reach your goals?
Everyone’s initial answer is “I will do whatever it takes” but we know that’s not the truth. The bottom line is most people are not willing to push themselves to the limit and see what they can really achieve. Here are a few things I have learned about striving towards your goals and what it really takes to succeed.
A little about me, I was a soccer player for most of my life. I was lucky enough to train with the Columbus Crew for several years and played four years of collegiate soccer. Lifting was never a major concern of mine, until my soccer days had come to an end. I needed something new, I found power lifting. I was very fortunate to meet J.L. Holdsworth and develop a friendship with him. J.L. is a very successful power lifter and as someone who has held several World Records was the perfect person to learn from. J.L. introduced me to Dave Tate, Jim Wendler, Chuck Vogelpohl, Matt Wenning and many other great lifters. In about 18 months of training J.L. has helped me make great strides towards achieving my goals. I have gained 80 lbs while staying under 14% body fat and gotten tremendously stronger. I recently squatted 750 in my first meet, narrowly missing 800 by losing my balance. This is great considering I couldn’t take 135 to parallel when I started. I have made great changes to my body and added strength, but I’m still not where I want to be and writing this helps to serve as a reminder of the things I need to do as well.
